As individuals, many of us choose our life path early and dedicate ourselves to building it. Yet, there comes a time when we feel the pull to create another tributary—one that not only enriches our own lives but also supports others and generates meaningful employment.

That is exactly what happened to me.

For more than three decades, I worked in the Polymer industry, never realizing that a simple act of crafting a granny square would ignite a new passion. What began as a hobby soon became my calling—starting with baby blankets, then throws, and gradually building teams of artisans who shared my love for handicrafts.

Over time, this passion grew into something much larger, and earlier this year, I transformed it into a commercial venture: Ethnic Treasures.

Rooted in Heritage

This journey is deeply rooted in my heritage. My mother was a perfectionist, with unmatched skills in embroidery, knitting, and stitching. I strongly believe this passion runs in my blood, a blessing passed down from her.

My father’s constant encouragement and unwavering support during my academic and professional years gave me the strength and determination to walk this path with confidence.

I am who I am today because of the dedication, resilience, and values instilled in me by my parents. Ethnic Treasures is dedicated to their memory — a tribute to their hard work and spirit that now lives on in me.
